The following section explains how to create a campaign using the elements you’ve already pre-configured.

Step 1

Click Campaigns in the main menu.

Step 2

Click the New Campaign button.

Step 3

The Campaign's name is automatically generated based on the Traffic Source and Countries selected and custom unique name you define. Select campaigns Category (to manage campaign categories, go to Settings - Categories in the main menu).

Step 4

Select Traffic source. If your traffic source has additional Lander parameters, they will also appear on the page and you will be able to tune them.

Step 5

Define your campaign tags. They are displayed in the campaigns list and you can filter campaigns by them. Use the Note field to store any useful information about the campaign.

Step 6

Advanced settings section hides some extra settings. You may type in your Tracking domain if you are using a default and the campaign Tracking URL will be updated according to this setting.

Choose a Cost model, which defines how traffic cost is tracked. Available options are:

Auto - visit cost will be automatically passed from your Traffic Source

CPC - when you choose this option, a CPC field will appear, where you manually set a price of a visit.

Do not track costs - no costs will be tracked, even if passed from the Traffic Source.

Step 7

Switch to the Traffic tab. Select Countries where you plan to run your campaign.

Step 8

Select your campaign Destination. There are three types of campaign destinations in Zeustrak.

  • Flow - select a previously created Flow (see Flow setup for more details on flows). When a flow is selected, its details are displayed below. You can check landers and offers attached to the flow and use the Edit link to make changes in the flow.

  • Path - choose Path to add landers and offers directly to this campaign without creating a flow. The Landers and offers setup process is similar to that described in Step 4 of section 6.1. Adding a Flow.

  • URL - Enter a URL here when you want to send your visitors directly to a web page. You may also choose a Redirect method.

Step 9

Switch to the Filters tab. Define the Incorrect Traffic URL - this is where visitors from countries, other than yours are selected or those who did not pass your campaign filters will be sent.

There are few filters available in Zeustrak.

  • Facebook filter. switch on this filter to allow only real users see your lander and send other visitors to the incorrect traffic URL. More options are also available for the Facebook filter.

    • Filter preview traffic - Facebook Android app generates a lot of preview traffic, loading page before user actually clicked the ad. If you switch on this option, the Facebook app will be forced to load your lander on a real ad click and the preview traffic will not be displayed in your statistics.

    • On high alert - This checkbox enables a special filter mode. When a visit from a Facebook moderator or bot is tracked, the five next visits will be also be sent to the Incorrect Traffic URL destination.

    • Filter IPv6 - Use this option to send any IPv6 traffic to the incorrect traffic URL destination.

    • Filter empty referrers - Use this option to send to incorrect traffic URL any traffic with empty referrers.

  • Device filtering. Choose what class of device you will allow to see your landers. Other traffic will be sent to the incorrect traffic URL destination.

  • Filter All. CAUTION! When on, all campaign traffic will be sent to the incorrect traffic URL destination.

No redirect for filtered traffic - When on, incorrect traffic (visitors being redirected to Incorrect Traffic URL) won’t be redirected, instead content on Incorrect Traffic URL will be displayed instantly, on the campaign link.

Step 10

Switch to the Users tab to manage campaign access.

Use Available to users section to invite users to the campaign and manage their permissions. There are two types of campaign permissions in Zeustrak.

  • Can View -  a user can view statistics of the campaign, but can’t make any changes.

  • Can Edit - a user has full access to the campaign.

Manager is a mediabuyer, who manages this campaign. Statistics of this campaign are included in the Buyers report.

Step 11

Click Save. Now all you have to do is copy your campaign Tracking URL and submit it to the relevant traffic source for approval.
